The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has stated that the state is the most peaceful in the Southeast region of Nigeria. He attributes this peace to the government’s deliberate policy of justice, equity, accommodation, political tolerance, and understanding, which has fostered an atmosphere of unity in the state. Governor Ikpeazu believes that peace is essential for any form of development and is proud of Abia’s record as one of the most peaceful states in the country.
After almost my 8 years as the governor and my eight years in office, i will boldly say that one of my achievements and areas which i have done beautifully well is on setting an atmosphere of peace and unity in Abia State which has brought developments in so many sectors across the state.
Our state today is the most peaceful state in this nation and in south east as well an we are proud of such heavy record.
Peace is the key holder of every development and without peace, no sector will function properly
